What you do Be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low‑voltage control sub‑systems (e.g., lighting, nurse call, data networks) to meet project requirements. Accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs. Develop complex software programs, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of building control systems. Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, installation teams, and subcontractors. How will you do it Design and configure technically complex building control systems as defined by contract documents; create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics. Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per project requirements. Coordinate and produce drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation. Order, track, and manage delivery of materials for assigned projects. Coordinate factory‑mounting processes to meet schedule. Assist in loading and commissioning of system and network‑level controllers as required. Validate complete system functionality and resolve problems with subcontractors and other trades. Provide field change information to project team for as‑built drawings and software updates. Keep management and contractors informed of job progress and issues. Assist in site‑specific training for owner/operator on the building control system. Participate in release meetings with project field team. Perform value engineering to achieve cost‑effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction. May provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants. Adhere to safety standards, ensuring employee and subcontractor safety. Travel is required for this role. What we look for Required Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 3 years’ experience. Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry. Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems. Experience with JCI software programming. Experience integrating low‑voltage building subsystems using industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet). Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences. Advanced computer drafting skills. Regular travel capability. Salary HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 – $110,000 USD, determined by education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data. #J-18808-Ljbffr
