We’re looking for a TikTok Growth Manager who understands how to build, scale, and engage audiences through creative, high-performing short-form content.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced, creative, and data-driven TikTok Growth Manager to take ownership of our TikTok growth strategy, content direction, and platform performance.

This is not simply a content posting or social media management role. We need someone with a proven ability to grow TikTok accounts organically, identify viral opportunities, and consistently turn content into measurable audience growth.

The ideal candidate understands TikTok's algorithm, audience behavior, content trends, and what drives watch time, retention, engagement, and virality.

You should be comfortable working with political satire, humor, trending news, and cultural commentary while developing content that feels authentic to TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

TikTok Growth & Strategy

• Develop, execute, and continuously optimize an organic TikTok growth strategy.
• Take ownership of audience growth, engagement, reach, and overall account performance.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility, discoverability, and viral potential.
• Build repeatable content formats and series that drive consistent growth.
• Monitor competitors, emerging creators, and successful accounts to identify growth opportunities.

Content Strategy & Execution

• Identify trending topics, sounds, formats, memes, and cultural moments relevant to our audience.
• Develop creative concepts, strong hooks, captions, and storytelling approaches optimized for TikTok.
• Collaborate with video editors, designers, and content creators to produce engaging, platform-native videos.
• Guide video structure, pacing, and creative direction to maximize retention and completion rates.
• Manage content calendars, publishing schedules, and posting optimization.
• React quickly to breaking news, political developments, and relevant internet trends.
• Experiment with new content formats, recurring series, and creative approaches.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

• Track and analyze key metrics, including views, watch time, retention, completion rates, shares, engagement, and follower growth.
• Conduct regular content performance reviews to identify successful formats and areas for improvement.
• A/B test hooks, video lengths, posting times, and creative strategies.
• Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations and measurable growth improvements.
• Provide regular reports on account performance, growth trends, and strategic priorities.

Community Growth & Collaboration

• Develop strategies to increase audience interaction, shares, comments, and community engagement.
• Identify relevant creators, influencers, and collaboration opportunities.
• Support cross-platform growth initiatives and promotional campaigns.
• Stay up to date with TikTok algorithm changes, emerging features, and platform best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience successfully managing and growing TikTok accounts, preferably with measurable organic growth results.
• Strong understanding of TikTok's algorithm, content distribution, and audience behavior.
• Demonstrated ability to develop viral or consistently high-performing short-form content.
• Experience creating and executing TikTok-specific growth strategies.
• Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, video retention, and audience engagement.
• Ability to identify emerging trends and execute content ideas quickly.
• Experience using TikTok Analytics and performance data to optimize content.
• Strong creative instincts, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of internet culture.
• Comfortable working with political content, satire, humor, and provocative cultural commentary.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills and a results-driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience growing TikTok accounts in politics, news, media, entertainment, satire, or cultural commentary.
• Experience scaling accounts from early-stage audiences to significant organic followings.
• A portfolio of high-performing TikTok videos, campaigns, or accounts with demonstrated growth.
• Experience collaborating with video production teams and content creators.
• Understanding of cross-platform short-form content strategies, including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Success in this role will be measured through:
• Organic follower growth and audience acquisition.
• Total video views, reach, and account visibility.
• Average watch time, audience retention, and video completion rates.
• Engagement rates, including shares, comments, saves, and likes.
• Frequency and consistency of high-performing or viral content.
