Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)
Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
Location: Akron, OH
Duration: 13-Week Travel Contract
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

This position is within the Operating Room department at a large acute care hospital and ambulatory surgical environment within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
Function primarily as an OR circulator during operative cases
Prepare and maintain operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond appropriately to clinical changes
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols
Assist with patient positioning, specimen handling, and surgical documentation
Maintain accurate perioperative nursing documentation and patient records
Support efficient workflow within the operating room department
Requirements:
Minimum 18 months of recent Operating Room RN experience required
Active Ohio RN License or active Compact State RN License required
Current AHA BLS Certification required
Current AHA ACLS Certification required
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous scrub experience preferred
Prior ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
