About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1-3 - Proficient in charting system (Epic) - Experience in Labor and Delivery Description: The labor and delivery registered nurse will provide care for high-risk obstetrical patients and their newborns. The nurse will assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal and maternal heart rates and managing complications that may arise during labor. The nurse will provide education and support to parents regarding infant care and breastfeeding. Skills required include administration of medications, intravenous therapy, and postpartum care. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. S/he will be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment while adhering to strict hospital protocols. Floating to other units or facilities may be required as necessary. Travelers must be willing to work during major holidays. Required documentation includes a background check and references.
