Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) position located in South Charleston, West Virginia, within a Pulmonary and Observation unit, requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients with respiratory diagnoses and medical conditions, including Trach care. The position offers an opportunity to work with experienced staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Location: South Charleston, West Virginia
• Specialty: Telemetry
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, with schedules from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm and 6:45 pm to 7:15 am
• Schedule: Weekend rotation every other weekend; holiday rotations with core staff; floating to other units or emergency department as needed
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); BLS (Basic Life Support); minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, Critical Drips, or Trach Care; experience with Peritoneal Dialysis preferred; previous travel experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patients, Trach care, and titratable infusions such as Heparin, Cardizem (up to 15mg/hr), Lasix, Dopamine, and Amiodarone. Knowledge of electronic medical records (EPIC) system is required.
• Additional Information: Staff schedule rotation; long-term staff may see holidays and shifts aligned with previous year's schedule; attire includes navy scrubs for RN/LPN and dark grey/pewter for C.N.As/Monitor Techs; solid color scrubs and closed-toed shoes required; orientation includes general hospital and nursing-specific training, computer training, and preceptor shifts.
