Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a strong labor background and at least 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting within the Obstetrics/LDRP unit
• Unit has 7 total rooms with 2 dedicated labor rooms
• Averages approximately 8 monthly deliveries
• Patient ratio of 2 nurses per shift
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Minimal weekend hours, primarily to help cover core staff PTO
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed within scope, excluding medical unit patients
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Strong labor background required
• Fetal monitoring experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a small, independent hospital setting

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Labor & Delivery patients in a small, close-knit unit
• Facility is a Level III critical access hospital with 24 acute care beds and a birthing center
• Emergency department holds Level III Time Critical Diagnosis and Treatment Center designation for stroke care
• Ideal candidates are independent, confident in their skills, and comfortable in a small-town hospital environment
• Facility-issued scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, subject to client-approved exemptions
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Travelers often extend their contracts multiple times at this location
