Director - Master Data Management

We are seeking an experienced Director of Master Data Management (MDM) to lead enterprise-wide MDM initiatives, with a strong focus on Customer and Supplier domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Informatica MDM solutions and drive strategic data initiatives that enable business growth, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.As the Director - Master Data management, you will be responsible for leading a regional, cross-functional team ensuring the integrity of Wesco Master Data and supporting processes. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall strategy and leading the governance, stewardship, data quality, development, and effective application of data to drive consistency and efficiency within our organization and with key business partners. You will establish the vision and direction of the MDM data products created, providing hands-on leadership and responsibility for the development team, and fostering stakeholder (Enterprise Applications, Sales, Supply chain, Finance, Human Resources) relationships and trust across the enterprise. You will be accountable for driving the data governance business process and influencing cross functional departments. Responsibilities:Collaborate with business functions/stakeholders on Master Data and Governance idea generation and drive changes when necessaryResponsible for establishing, building and running the Master Data DomainsAccountable for setting up standards, best practices, innovative and automation modeling techniques and proceduresDrive harmonization of relevant Master Data processes across in Wesco to provide a common and consistent view across the enterpriseDefine, build and lead a team of master data domain experts, architects to help design and implement Master Data processes and solutions and work closely with other Enterprise Application and Data Office teams for data syndication and useChampion data accuracy culture adoption to the broader organization by ensuring that Master Data Management assets are understood, available and usedDevelop metrics showing impacts of master data activities, to display key benefits and outcomes associated with master dataEstablish and communicate Master Data Management best practices including people, processes, and technologyDrives operational excellence with a continued focus on Master Data, including advanced technologies, to optimize data value Define and execute the enterprise MDM strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goalsLead MDM initiatives across Customer and Supplier data domainsQualifications:Bachelors Degree - Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field required; Master's Degree preferredLicenses/Certificates/Designations – Master Data Management preferred10 years of IT applications/operational experience; with 7 years in Master Data Domain like Products, Customers, Suppliers etc.Experience in building and leading a team from the ground up, including hiring and ongoing people development.Experience in building Master Data management Domains systems (Product, Customers, Suppliers, Reference) and establish Governance process from ground upExperience overseeing, developing, or implementing Master Data productsGraduate-level understanding of machine learning techniques, knowledge representation, and artificial intelligence, along with a strong understanding of statisticsStrong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple work streams, along with demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem solving, including the ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing goalsStrong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong team leadership and/or project management experience with multiple simultaneous initiatives and managing a team of Data Stewards, MDM Architects, Data Analyst etc.Skilled in the management of complex systems and decision-making under uncertaintyExcellent project and time management skills and strong attention to detail, with experience in adhering to best practices of managing the life cycle of data-intensive machine learning projectsStrategic planning experience that adapts to communication between technical and business stakeholdersExceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills and ability to work independently/within a team Ability to travel up to 25%#LI-JB1#LI-REMOTEThis amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
