Quarry Production Operator

Primary Functions: To operate equipment at various company locations, in a safe and efficient manner for the purpose of producing and loading materials that meet company specifications.

Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate various types of heavy machinery including excavators, hammers, and front-end loaders to extract and move limestone and other aggregates.

Safety Compliance: Strictly follow company and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform daily inspections of machinery.

• Identify and report defects or repair needs to supervisors.

• Ensure equipment is operated under varying conditions without compromising safety or efficiency.

Material Handling:

• Identify and differentiate between types of aggregates.

• Load, transport, and stockpile materials as needed.

Team Support:

• Willingness to cross-train in other roles.

• Assist teammates with tasks outside primary responsibilities.

• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or construction setting is preferred.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and understand basic mechanical systems is a plus.

• Communication: Capable of understanding and executing written and verbal instructions.

• Dependability: Consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

• Safety Awareness: Familiarity with hazards and safety precautions common to quarry and mining operations.

• Physical Requirements: ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
