Position Overview

A full-time Physical Therapist position is available in Lee’s Summit, MO for a clinician who wants to work in an outpatient orthopedic setting with a strong clinical team and a steady patient population.

This role focuses on treating patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, helping them improve mobility, strength, balance, flexibility, and daily function. The clinic serves patients from 11 to 90 years old , which offers variety in patient goals, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

The team includes 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants , creating a collaborative environment where communication and coordinated care are part of the daily workflow.

Compensation

• New Graduate Physical Therapist: $65,000–$70,000 per year
• Experienced Physical Therapist: $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on years of experience

Preferred Work Schedule Options

The clinic offers flexibility and would strongly prefer one of the following schedules:

Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Tuesday off each week

Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinic Information

• Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
• Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
• EMR System: WebPT
• Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
• Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

Responsibilities

• Complete patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, clinical findings, and patient goals
• Provide therapy for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions using appropriate interventions
• Lead patients through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance activities, mobility work, and functional rehabilitation
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, safe activity progression, and recovery expectations
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care when appropriate
• Complete accurate documentation using WebPT
• Coordinate with PTAs and other clinical staff to support continuity of care

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
• Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work professionally with patients across a broad age range
