Role Description The Food Server role is a contract, on-site position located in Indianapolis, IN. Food Servers support events by setting up service areas, preparing tables, and ensuring all food and beverage stations are stocked and presentable. During events, they serve guests in a courteous, efficient manner, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate dietary needs as directed by the event lead or chef. They assist with clearing plates, maintaining cleanliness in service areas, and supporting the kitchen and catering team with basic food service tasks. At the end of events, Food Servers help with breakdown, cleanup, and organization of equipment and supplies, following company standards for safety, hygiene, and professionalism. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and guests. Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service environments, including basic serving and buffet setup. Foundational food handling skills to support simple prep or plating under chef direction. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry catering equipment, and work in a fast-paced event setting. Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices; ServSafe or similar certification is a plus. Reliable transportation to event venues in and around Indianapolis and availability for evenings and weekends.
