At Excel Aquatics, we’re dedicated to teaching swimming skills to children and adults in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Our warm-water swim facility at 1770 Central Ave in Colonie provides the perfect setting for fostering confidence and skill in swimmers of all ages.

As a Swim Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in helping children (ages 3-13) and adults master essential swimming skills using Excel’s proven curriculum. Whether you’re teaching beginners or helping more advanced swimmers refine their technique, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact while working in a welcoming and flexible environment.

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults following Excel’s established curriculum.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.
• Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to help swimmers build confidence and skills.
• Work collaboratively with other instructors and lifeguards to maintain a smooth schedule.
• Be punctual and professional during all shifts.

• At least 1 year of experience teaching swim lessons or related aquatic instruction.
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• A friendly, patient, and positive attitude.
• Availability to work flexible shifts on Mondays through Thursdays between 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

• Flexible scheduling with both consistent shifts and substitute positions available.
