An exciting contract opportunity is available for two dedicated Special Education Teachers/Consultants to support high school students near Ypsilanti, MI. This full-time role spans two adjacent high schools, with a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students. You’ll have the chance to make a direct impact by providing individualized support and expert consultation, collaborating with committed administrators and service teams, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment through June 25, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Teaching Certificate with SM, SE, SA, or SV endorsement required
• Master’s degree with Teacher Consultant Approval, OR at least three years of proven success as a SPED teacher in Michigan
• Thorough understanding of IDEA, MARSE, and the IEP process
• Strong background in working with high school students with learning disabilities
• Ability to facilitate IEPs, 504 plans, METs, evaluations, MTSS, and progress monitoring

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education support and interventions to assigned students
• Serve as a consultant, collaborating with general education staff, families, administrators, and related service providers to support best practices and student success
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
• Offer behavioral support, implement strategic interventions, and engage in ongoing team meetings
