Position Overview

Parkland Health and Hospital PC is seeking dedicated and skilled Full-time Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic team in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will be integral to our outpatient primary care practice, where you will diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions while promoting preventative health strategies. As an advanced practice registered nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall well-being of our community.

Our team consists of 5 experienced MDs and 5 Nurse Practitioners who collaborate closely to deliver optimal healthcare solutions. Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, providing a nurturing and supportive setting for both patients and staff. You will work 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, concluding your day at 5:00 PM. Our outpatient offices are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that enhance your capability to provide the best possible care, utilizing tools for electronic health records and diagnostic testing to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patients' medical histories to assess health status.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests like blood tests and X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnose acute health conditions and chronic illnesses, proposing appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, ensuring patient adherence and managing side effects.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records, schedules, and follow-up appointments.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventative health measures.
• Advocate for best health practices and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure integrated care delivery.
• Engage in research and continued learning to enhance your clinical practice and stay updated on medical advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily care for a diverse patient population that includes individuals with various acute and chronic health issues. Our practice emphasizes accessibility and community outreach, so you will also engage with patients from underserved areas. Understanding the specific needs of these populations will be essential for effectively managing their health care.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner (ANP/FNP required).
• A current DEA number is mandatory for this role.
• Proven clinical experience in acute care, family health, or outpatient settings.
• Extensive knowledge of patient care regulations and best practices in healthcare.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ethical standards and a patient-focused approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual candidates are welcomed, but not required.
• Previous work in a primary care setting, urgent care, or emergency departments will be an advantage.
• Experience with electronic health record systems to simplify documentation and patient management processes.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
