NATURE OF WORKFairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled, patient‑focused Laboratory Phlebotomist to support the daily operations of the FMH Laboratory. This role is essential in delivering high‑quality diagnostic services by performing accurate blood collection, specimen processing, and related laboratory support functions. The Laboratory Phlebotomist interacts directly with patients across all age groups and plays a key role in ensuring a positive, professional experience during the specimen collection process. In addition to specimen collection, the Laboratory Phlebotomist collaborates closely with clinical staff to maintain efficient workflows, ensure timely order entry, and uphold strict safety and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to infection‑control protocols, and a commitment to supporting FMH’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms venipuncture, arterial, and capillary punctures for patients in inpatient units, the Emergency Department, and outpatient settings.
