Private Banking Assistant Banking Officer Requisition Number: PRIVA004770 Grade: 8 Locations: Showing 1 location Job Overview: This role is responsible for working with Private & Professional Banking and their client base to facilitate loan requests typically up to $5MM and any loan and deposit servicing requests. The position handles the entire process of commercial, retail or consumer loan applications through to closing, following all policies and procedures, and may handle 10–20 loans simultaneously. Responsibilities Contact and meet with clients to collect necessary information for loan processing, including completing applications and retrieving information from Docuview. Review and explain documents and disclosures to clients at the time of loan application, adhering to compliance standards. Assist Officers with sales efforts and product cross‑selling. Handle client inquiries, problem solving, research, transfers, processing payments, and customer service. Ensure ACH or billing setups for first and second payments to avoid defaults. Work with Officers to renew maturing loans before maturity and uncover cross‑sell opportunities. Coordinate all loan closings (commercial, retail, consumer) with clients, buyers, realtors, attorneys, and attend or close loans as necessary. Submit and process loan requests with centralized processing/underwriting; maintain clear communication with staff and attorneys. Review disclosures and TRID guidelines; accurately quote rates, closing costs, and escrows. Complete servicing tasks such as file maintenance, BOB maintenance, payoff requests. Submit Override Requests, Fee Waivers, Summary of Terms, and Commitment Letters. Read personal and business tax returns to calculate income/debt ratios and understand corporate documents for various business structures. Understand trust types, Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae guidelines, and loan documentation requirements. Develop knowledge of retail, commercial, and consumer loan products; use Salesforce and other bank systems. Identify process improvements and assist in implementing new regulations. Model bank values and culture; foster teamwork, accountability, and dedication. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications 2–3 years of banking experience in processing retail and/or commercial loans. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications. Experience with loan systems and related host systems preferred. Notary Public certification required. NMLS registration may be required. Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship. Physical Requirements The role requires sitting, using hands, standing, walking, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, and the ability to see both close and distance.
