Description: Patient age group includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Staffing ratios are 1:4. Key skills include telemetry and dysrhythmia management. Experience in PCU/stepdown care is required. Knowledge of IV insulin and heparin protocols is necessary. Experience in renal failure management is crucial. Candidates must be proficient in administering cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration. Blood product administration experience is required. Tracheostomy management skills are essential. Utilization of rapid response teams is expected. Wound care and experience with wound vac systems are necessary. Non-invasive airway management skills, such as CPAP and BIPAP, are required. Familiarity with documentation in electronic health record systems is advantageous. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. Daily census is around 32 patients. Candidates must have some ER experience noted in their work history. Applicants must complete required credentialing processes promptly. References from supervisors or leaders are essential. All candidates are expected to comply with credentialing requirements diligently.
