Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, ERP system (preferred) What You’ll Actually Do Financial Close Management: Assist significantly with the month‑end financial close process by preparing essential journal entries, completing thorough account reconciliations, investigating financial discrepancies, and helping to resolve any account variances to ensure accurate reporting. Inventory Control: Maintain and reconcile critical inventory and work-in-process (WIP) records, which directly supports the accurate financial reporting of the company’s manufacturing operations. Payroll Administration: Take responsibility for processing payroll accurately and prepare all associated payroll reports and necessary documentation in a timely manner. Project Financial Support: Work closely and collaboratively with project managers to assist with the setup of new projects and provide basic financial monitoring and tracking to keep projects on budget. Audit & Process Improvement: Provide essential support for audit preparation, which includes gathering necessary information and assisting with financial reporting requirements. Additionally, contribute to efforts designed to improve existing accounting processes, enhance systems, and increase overall operational efficiency. The Must-Haves Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, ideal for an early‑career professional looking to apply foundational accounting knowledge. Experience: Candidates should possess one to three years of professional accounting experience, with a preference for prior roles within a mid‑sized organization, alongside essential previous experience processing payroll. Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize complex formulas and pivot tables, is critical. A fundamental understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is also essential. This role requires strong organizational abilities, effective analytical and problem‑solving skills, consistent accuracy, and keen attention to detail.
