Job Description Job Posting: Full-Time Contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aurora, IL Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for a full-time contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aurora, IL. We are seeking an experienced professional who meets all requirements set by local and state regulations, including holding a master's degree in SLP or Communication Disorders and ASHA CCC's certification. Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred. Job Duties: Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Utilize standardized tests and clinical observations to determine the appropriate treatment plan. Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' speech and language challenges. Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based techniques and strategies. Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional development. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute insights and recommendations. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress in therapy sessions. Adjust treatment goals and strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Family and Caregiver Education: Provide education and resources to parents and caregivers on strategies to support speech and language development at home. Foster collaboration between school and home environments for consistent support.
