Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry) – Alabama

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Alabama

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week (3x12 shifts), weekend coverage required, self-scheduling, 28-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• 400-bed acute care facility with Level II Trauma designation
• 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with up to 1:6 or 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Average daily census of 35 patients; adult and geriatric population
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Skills utilized: telemetry monitoring, accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, general med/surg care
• Pre-start modules required (non-billable; 8+ hours)

Requirements:

• Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (candidates may be submitted with license pending)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Experience in large healthcare facility settings strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility (radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Former permanent staff not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation
• After completing 2 consecutive contracts, a 6-month break is required before returning
