Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in the heart of Madison, WI? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Materials Management department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be integral to the success of our operations. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoy working in a team, this position is perfect for you!
Job Responsibilities- Perform daily work assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
- Manage inventory using the FEFO basis: picking, stocking, verifying, and delivering materials as needed.
- Accurately pick, pack, ship, and document orders to meet customer fulfillment requirements.
- Manage work orders, including printing, picking, staging, and closing upon completion.
- Support various processes such as column crating and lab materials replenishment.
- Communicate and resolve PO-related issues promptly.
- Maintain zero shipping errors and inventory variances.
- Monitor and document shipment issues such as damage or breakage.
- Participate in weekly QA audits and complete all required training.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in shipping or material operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
- Proven ability to multi-task and demonstrate diplomatic skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., handheld scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Cold storage material handling experience.
- Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory management systems, JD Edwards preferred.
- Prior DOT and IATA training.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams.
