You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. Responsibilities In this position, we are taking our Maintenance Superintendents to the next level. These talented employees hold the title of Team Manager – Maintenance and act as drivers of standardization and continuous improvement in the Ford Production System. What You'll Do Safety Address department Health & Safety concerns Enforce compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards Promote improved safety metrics and provide resources for activities Ensure adherence to safety processes for launch-related Pro‑Tag and Arc Flash updates, Construction Service Safety audits, and inter‑department Pre‑Task Analyses Quality Lead data‑driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics (e.g., higher FTT, less scrap, less contamination) Drive root‑cause analysis and implement permanent corrections through the Global 4D or 8D process Delivery Monitor production runs to stay on schedule and correct maintenance‑related problems that arise Provide resources and activities to ensure problem‑free start‑ups Facilitate start‑up and shift‑to‑shift meetings Support skilled trades on constraint analysis and deliver resources to eliminate bottlenecks Champion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate bottlenecks Cost Lead project writing and data collection for business cases Manage budgets Set, prioritise, and provide resources to control and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU) Optimise maintenance activities to improve throughput and meet budgets and schedules Implement material control, repair and rebuild programs, and reliability reviews People Deploy policy, drive SQDCPME, and communicate departmental goals Coach, counsel, and teach subordinates to enhance the One Team goal Lead and participate in production scheduling, staffing, procurement, and maintenance of equipment, quality control, inventory control and coordination with other departments Promote and support work groups and integrate skilled trades per agreements Create a team environment founded on accountability, teamwork, empowerment and continuous improvement Set and support Time & Data Management events related to the Maintenance Operating System and enforce attendance Maintenance Coordinate resources to support ME organisation launches within your area to meet schedules, budgets and time constraints Evaluate and deliver FTPM measurables Maximise equipment effectiveness through a detailed, standardised and prioritised preventive and predictive maintenance plan Review and approve preventive maintenance activities and assess their effectiveness Devise maintenance plans, strategie and priorities to support the department business plan; manage daily maintenance and optimise opportunities Provide resources and support to maintenance activities and organise planning phases Confirm and enforce adherence to Maintenance Operating System processes Review status and progress of goals and objectives and enforce accountability Environment Ensure compliance with government, industry and corporate standards Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management Strong ability to present in front of plant management Ability to teach Ford Production System principles Union negotiations experience Competent in the use of data for decision making Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team Excellent leadership skills and problem resolution ability Work well under pressure and crisis management when required Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated leadership in One FORD behaviours and outstanding interpersonal, team‑building and communication skills Even Better You May Have Bachelor’s Degree Broad production experience Lead Process Coach experience 6‑sigma designation preferred Strong analytical skills and quick decision‑making capability preferred Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook) Benefits Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new‑parent ramp‑up programmes, subsidised child‑care and more Family‑building benefits including adoption, surrogacy expense reimbursement and fertility treatments Vehicle discount programme for employees, family members and management leases Tuition assistance Active employee resource groups Paid time off for individual and team community service Generous paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day Paid time off and option to purchase additional vacation time Salary Leadership level 6 with a range of $115,500–$218,100.
