About the Position

Job Title: Telemetry Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Med/Surg, Med-Surg Ortho Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Current Nursing License Certifications: CPR/BLS Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Education verification required Description: We are seeking experienced RNs for our Medical Surgical units. The candidate must hold a current nursing license. CPR/BLS certification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, and appropriately escalates issues to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
