ABLE SEAMAN (AB) – LARGE VESSEL
Location: Coastal Maine
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
The Role: New DHC is seeking Able Seamen (ABs) to support deck operations, watch standing, and general vessel maintenance aboard large vessels operating along the coast of Maine. This is a hands-on operational role focused on safety, teamwork, and maintaining the vessel to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Stand navigational and safety watches assigned
- Perform fire, security, and safety rounds
- Support deck operations including line handling, gear handling, and cargo operations
- Perform general vessel maintenance including cleaning, painting, and planned maintenance tasks
- Assist with inspections and routine checks of deck equipment
- Always follow company policies and safe work practices
Qualifications
- Able Seaman (AB) endorsement
- Valid USCG medical certificate
- Valid TWIC
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally
- Ability to work safely in a marine environment
