Contract (13 or 26 week options available) | Night Shift (4x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hour weekly options | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed Heart & Vascular specialty unit serving cardiovascular patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Care for specialty patient populations including stable heart and lung transplant patients and those with Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs)
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to various units across the facility to meet staffing needs, including potential float to a secondary campus
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN state license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (Level I Academic Medical Center experience required for first-time travelers)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with IV drip management
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability and willingness to float frequently to meet facility staffing needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Experience in cardiac progressive care or cardiovascular specialty nursing
