Lead / Senior Low-Voltage Systems Technician

For the tech position, we’re looking for someone who can come in as a Lead / Senior Low-Voltage Systems Technician and work independently while also guiding less-experienced technicians. The ideal candidate should have: 7+ years of low-voltage/security systems experience ; 10+ years is preferred. Strong experience with CCTV/IP cameras, access control, burglar alarms, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, and networking . Ability to install, program, test, troubleshoot, and service systems, not just pull cable. Ability to read scopes, drawings, wiring diagrams, and understand how a complete system should be installed. Experience terminating and testing Cat6/network cabling , installing racks, devices, panels, power supplies, and related equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose problems without needing constant supervision. Ability to lead a crew , assign tasks, keep a project organized, and make sure work is completed correctly. Professional communication with customers, project managers, and the Broad Shield office. Must take pride in clean, organized installations and quality workmanship. Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working on commercial job sites. Valid driver’s license is required. Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout the NY metro area and occasionally out of state. Comfortable with occasional after-hours, overnight, or emergency work when projects require it. OSHA, NICET, FDNY certifications, manufacturer certifications, or similar credentials are a plus , but the strongest priority is proven field experience and technical ability. Most importantly, we are not looking for someone who only knows one discipline or only knows basic installation .
