It is also a great, supportive working environment for our dedicated staff!/pp*This is a union position with union benefits/ppBenefits/pulliHealth insurance, dental and vision/lili401K/liliPTO packages including sick time, vacation, personal and holiday./liliCompetitive pay/liliPositive work environment/liliEmployee of the month/lili10% shift differential for evenings and nights/li/ulpSummary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):/ppProvide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing./ppEssential Duties Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):/pulliAssess and document resident progress in the medical record./liliMonitor turning and positioning of residents./liliObtain changes in physicians orders as indicated by residents progress or lack of progress/liliCommunicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated./liliMaintain clean, orderly treatment cart and restock treatment supplies./liliFollow Infection Control policies and procedures./liliAdminister medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures./liliDocument pressure sore status weekly or more often as condition changes./liliAssist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents./liliParticipate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home./liliParticipate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned./li/ulpJob Requirements of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):/pulliLicensed Practical Nurse current state license in New York./liliAt least one (1) year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred./liliMust have a current/active CPR certification./liliExcellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills./liliEffective verbal and written English communication skills./liliCustomer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure./liliAbility to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions./liliApproachable, flexible and adaptable to change./li/ul/div
