Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend and holiday
Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200 beds minimum), level 2 or higher trauma center preferred.
License: Active RN License from a compact state
Certifications: BLS - must be from AHA
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience
- Travel experience required or multiple years of experience in a large level 1 facility
- Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred, but not required
- EPIC experience

Description:
This position involves caring for Medical Surgical patients and Surgical Oncology patients.
The nurse collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge.
Utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting.
The nursing unit has a 47-bed department with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shifts and 6:1 on night shifts.
The nurse is expected to float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed.
