Kitchen Aide - Dishwasher/Central Kitchen Lewistown School District 1, School Food – Lewistown, Montana Job Details Job ID: 5718975 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 14, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 17, 2026 Position Type: Part‑Time Salary: $14.38 per hour Job Summary SUMMARY: Cleans and sterilizes dishes, utensils, and all other equipment used to process or store products such as food or beverages by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists with unloading carriers and carts from satellite kitchens, preparing returned pans and utensils for the dishwasher. Stores all dishes, trays and utensils in proper location after the dishwasher has run through its cycle. Mops the dishwasher area as needed to prevent accidents. Reports dishwasher problems to the Supervisor immediately. General cleaning of coolers, freezers, dishwasher and storerooms as required. Assists with the maintenance of trash and garbage in a neat and orderly fashion. Washes, dries and folds linen from all schools. Assists with final sweeping and mopping of kitchen floor surface. This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive and the employee will also perform other duties as directed by the Food Service Director. Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds. Ability to perform these operations using American monetary units and weight, volume, and distance measurements. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Work Environment The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
