Regional Vice President - Work Comp Insurance

Role Description

Strategic Comp has an intriguing leadership role for a Regional Vice President - Work Comp Insurance in the Richmond, Roanoke, or Lynchburg, VA that will work from home. Responsibilities would include:

• Managing an assigned book of workers’ compensation accounts in the territory.
• Achieving a high level of renewal retention and managing the existing book to an appropriate level of profitability.
• Communicating effectively and conducting presentations to business owners.
• Demonstrating professionalism and industry knowledge to win the confidence of producers and insureds.
• Developing strong relationships with key decision-makers within an organization.
• Directing effective service and coordinating a team of service professionals.
• Articulating the intricacies of the Strategic Comp product clearly and professionally.
• Traveling up to 60% of the time, including some overnight travel.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in account management, production, and/or managing a loss control department for a commercial insurance company, preferably in workers’ compensation.
• Additional experience in underwriting, loss control, or claims is a plus.
• Strong analytical and math skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and working with loss runs.
• Must reside in Virginia.
