Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 24 hours of physician coverage daily; nights required
• Job Setting: Emergency Department - 12 ED beds, 5 Fast Track beds; Patient Volume: 24,000; EMR: Cerner
• Types of Cases: Must be comfortable with all requested privileges on delineation of privileges (DOP); 20-24 hours of NP/PA coverage support
• Credentialing: Must have active NC state medical license, board certification, and active DEA for NC in hand at time of presentation. Malpractice Coverage: $1M/$3M. Case logs for the past 2 years or Activity Verification Form required. CME Attestation form or proof of CME documents from the last 2 years required. Health Status Statement completed by a provider other than the clinician required.

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine. Must be BC within 5 years of residency. Will accept AAPS/ABPS Boards. Recent graduates accepted.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required if NOT ABEM boarded. ACLS and/or ATLS preferred even if ABEM certified. Flu Vaccine required (must be within same year). TB: Must be 2-Step PPD or Q-Gold within the last 12 months.
• Licensure: Active unrestricted NC medical license and DEA with NC address covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5.
