Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Response in El Paso, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government law enforcement location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.39 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:00 PM - 01:00 AMThur05:00 PM - 01:00 AMFri05:00 PM - 01:00 AMSat05:00 PM - 01:00 AMSun05:00 PM - 01:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government law-enforcement locations. Operate as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate law-enforcement personnel and emergency responders as directed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately; maintain professional communication with site personnel and the public. Minimum Requirements: Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent. Possess a college degree. Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience. Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge or possess an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
