Maintenance Mechanic

Job TitleJob Overview:Pay Range: $29.28hr - $34.28hrRequirement/Must Have:Applies extensive knowledge of complex technical concepts and practices.Complete understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a functional area.Working knowledge of other related disciplines.Ability to perform tasks within a quality system environment.Ability to perform complex or specialized technical assignments requiring independent work.Ability to design, develop, or modify area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.Ability to exercise considerable judgment and a high degree of initiative.Creative approach in troubleshooting and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement.Responsibilities:Provides technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment.Utilizes technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment.Responds to assembly line equipment repair calls by diagnosing equipment problems and performing the necessary repair.Documents equipment qualifications and upgrades made to existing machines.Records preventative maintenance performed and parts used in the maintenance database to ensure appropriate documentation of repair history.Maintains back-up equipment and ensures spare parts are kept at the required levels.Assists industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in the operation of equipment.Provides equipment development engineers with feedback on equipment issues and offers suggestions for improving equipment uptime.Assists in constructing worktables, providing necessary utilities, and setting up equipment on manufacturing assembly lines.Modifies existing assembly lines or workstations as required to accommodate manufacturing demands.Plans and organizes project assignments.Selects methods and practices to solve problems using ingenuity, creativity, and a high degree of independent action and initiative.Proposes solutions independently and makes decisions on projects.Skills:Technical troubleshooting.Schematic reading.Precision tools.Test equipment.Preventative maintenance.MP2 maintenance database.Equipment qualification.Project organization.Qualification And Education:High School Diploma.An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
