Growing together.  Our Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas. Typically, employees in this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques. Make presentations to manage project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensure projects are completed on time and in scope. May manage vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Consult with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives and the Voice of the CustomerRaise awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of project scope and objectives with applicable stakeholdersIdentify project duration, effort, sequence and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectivesDevelop/contribute to project budgets and forecasts, obtaining approvals from applicable stakeholdersApply project life cycle methodology and tools as you develop, document and implement project communication plansYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:2+ years of project management or 5+ years of experience with software implementation in the healthcare industry Experience with project management tools (i.e. Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or related)Experience managing projects of medium to large scopeExperience managing multiple projects at the same time (12-15 at various stages)Experience managing project teamsExperience leading or participating in process improvement initiativesProven ability to facilitate meetings with all levels of project teams and stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:PMP Certification 5+ years of experience in a project management role Smartsheet experience Experience working with global project teams Proven knowledge of:medical imaging implementations and workflowsdatabases and enterprise-class information systemshealth care imaging - specifically Radiology and Cardiologycloud-based systemsDemonstrated intermediate familiarity with interface standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM and othersProven ability to work effectively under stressful situations, while maintaining a high degree of professionalismProven solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills within a multicultural environmentProven ability to manage project risks *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
