Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description

This role involves cleaning and repairing containers used for portable storage, performing a variety of general labor tasks, and using computers daily for training and Excel-based activities. You will work both indoors and outdoors in a large warehouse environment and support day-to-day operations by maintaining containers in safe, clean, and functional condition.

Responsibilities

• Clean containers thoroughly to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Inspect containers for damage and perform basic repairs to maintain functionality.
• Handle general labor tasks as assigned, including moving, organizing, and staging containers.
• Use a computer daily to complete required training modules and documentation.
• Work with Excel on a regular basis to track tasks, record information, or update logs.
• Follow safety procedures while working in both indoor and outdoor areas of the warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with containers or equipment promptly.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform basic repairs on containers.
• Comfort working in environments where you may get dirty, including both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Proficiency using computers for daily tasks, including online training.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.
• Capability to perform physically demanding general labor tasks.
• Attention to detail when cleaning, inspecting, and repairing containers.

• Experience in general labor or warehouse work is beneficial.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and repair techniques is an advantage.
• Strong reliability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed.

You will join a hands-on, practical work setting where every day brings a variety of tasks and opportunities to learn. The role offers consistent use of both physical and technical skills, combining general labor with regular computer and Excel work. You can expect a straightforward, team-oriented environment where your contribution directly supports efficient operations and well-maintained equipment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large, open warehouse that includes a mix of indoor and outdoor work areas. You will frequently move between these spaces and should be comfortable working in varying conditions and getting dirty as part of cleaning and repair tasks. The environment involves typical warehouse activities, including handling containers and using basic tools and computer equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of South Portland, ME.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in South Portland,ME.
