Unarmed Security Officer - Bicycle / Foot Patrol

We are seeking a responsible and professional Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of residents, guests, and property at a residential apartment complex. The ideal candidate will provide a visible deterrent to crime, monitor premises, respond to incidents, and maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the apartment complex, including buildings, parking areas, and common spaces, on foot / bicycle or by vehicle

• Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or maintenance issues

• Enforce community rules and regulations as directed by property management

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly and professionally

• Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely

• Provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, and staff

• Deter unauthorized access and ensure gates and entrances remain secure

• Maintain communication with property management and/or dispatch as required

• Observe and report any damage, theft, or disturbances on the property

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Must be at least 21

• Valid security guard license or guard card

• Previous security or customer service experience preferred

• Excellent observational and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Reliable transportation and punctuality

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions

• Night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required

• Foot Patrol

• Bicycle Patrol
