Principal Full Stack Engineer (MarTech, CDP, Data and Integrations)

Job Description:Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.The RoleFidelity Investments is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to deliver the next stage in the evolution of our Marketing Technology and Data Platform capabilities. In this demanding role, you will lead platform, capabilities and application design, development, configuration, testing, and support of a complex Customer Data Platform (CDP) ecosystem that is modernizing marketing audience management and cross-channel communications.The Expertise and Skills You BringTechnology10 plus years of overall software engineering experienceStrong hands-on experience in solution architecture design and delivery, with a focus on Marketing Technology and Data EngineeringDeep expertise in Twilio Segment Customer Data Platform, including platform administration and features such as identity resolution, usage and governance, and functional capabilities like zero-copy linked audience management, activations, integrations, sources (Web, Events, Datawarehouse), and destinations (SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Files, APIs)Proven experience integrating CDP solutions across AWS cloud environments, SaaS platforms, Snowflake, and custom applications/APIsExperience leveraging CDP for cross-channel marketing activations, including Email, Web, Mobile, and journey-based marketing delivering real time, always on as well batch campaigns and communicationsStrong experience building full-stack solutions on AWS, including Kubernetes, Lambda, APIs provider and consumer, and event-driven architectures, messaging platforms and company frameworks with, with development in Java and Python.Strong experience in Snowflake data architecture and engineering, including Data modeling, Creating and managing tables and views, Writing and reviewing SQL queries, Cluster right-sizing, Performance tuning and compute cost optimization for high-volume data processing (tens of millions of records)Experience with database technologies such as DynamoDB and PostgreSQLCertifications in AWS, Snowflake, or MarTech platforms are a plusExperience designing and building solutions with strong non-functional characteristics, including information security, availability, scalability, performance, reusability, and agilityLeverage AI/ML and LLM capabilities to drive advanced segmentation, targeting, and content optimizationSkills to prototype and integrate Generative AI solutions (prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings) into MarTech platforms and campaign workflowsSkills to design and integration of AI-enabled solutions across CDP, orchestration, and activation systemsAbility to partner with data science teams to operationalize predictive models (propensity, churn, lifetime value)Support responsible AI adoption, including governance, data privacy, and performance optimizationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceLeadership and CommunicationExcellent communication and articulation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teamsProven ability to collaborate with marketing, business, and technology stakeholders, as well as SaaS vendors, to simplify complex concepts and drive alignment on solutions and trade-offsStrong presence to demonstrate platform features, capabilities, and solutions to support key organizational initiativesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative and forward-thinking approach to addressing challenges within complex data and SaaS environmentsSubject matter expertise in marketing segmentation, data, and end-to-end campaign setup and activation across Email, Web, Mobile, and Paid Media channelsThe TeamFidelity is embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize and unify its Marketing, Data, and Communication Technology capabilities across the organization.
