Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for many day-to-day administrative tasks in the accounting department. This position is in-office and will be based at our West Little Rock, AR corporate headquarters.

Job Description:

• Scan supporting documentation for checks, deposits, tickets, etc. into the accounting system.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route to appropriate parties.
• Backup Receptionist and monitor incoming calls and visitors during break and lunch times.
• Cross train on other accounting functions including cash apps and accounts payable.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm.

Demonstrated Skill in:

• Preparing and maintaining records.
• Preparing reports.
• Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Customer service.
• Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting.
• Using Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Communicating effectively through oral and written mediums.

Qualifications and Essential Functions:

2+ years of experience in clerical and/or accounting work preferred.

Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications. Requires extended periods of sitting, normal walking, bending, twisting, and stretching. Capability of sight and hearing required. Ability to deal with stressful situations and occasionally working extended hours. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
