Maine Street Bistro is looking for a Sous Chef or Line Cook ready to advance, this is a learning position with room for advancement. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment cleaning and storage of ingredients. Assist in inventory management by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying management of supply needs. Uphold excellent food service practices by serving dishes promptly and courteously to guests or servers. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant is required, preferably in fine dining. Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Strong knife skills coupled with proficiency in meal preparation and food handling are essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is required to ensure compliance with health regulations.
