Surgical Physician Assistant

Heritage Laparoscopy and Acute Care Surgery is looking for a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with an interest in various major and minor general and acute care surgical procedures. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will “First Assist” in the operating room, see pre‑ and post‑operative patients in the hospital, as well as office post‑op and follow‑ups. We do not work with residents, therefore there will be no competition for your cases. “On‑call” consists of one to two weeks out of five. The remaining weeks will be elective work. This job is a combination of work, with an emphasis on an excellent quality of life. This person will become an integral part of our team, making a profound impact on the care of our patients, and be treated with the respect they deserve. Qualifications 1‑2 years of surgical experience is preferred. Schedule Monday to Friday On‑call every 4th‑5th week – 7 days/24 hours Weekend availability Supplemental Pay Bonus pay if covering backup call outside of schedule License/Certification Work Location: We rotate at 3 hospitals in Bergen County: The Valley Hospital in Paramus Pascack Valley part of HUMC in Westwood Chilton Hospital part of Atlantic Health in Pompton Plains We have three office locations in Oakland, NJ, Emerson, NJ, and Teaneck, NJ. #J-18808-Ljbffr
