Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily care delivery.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and respond to changes in condition.
• Document care, communicate with the care team, and participate in ongoing care planning and coordination.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license (unrestricted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work nights in an inpatient long-term care setting
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Prior RN clinical experience in an inpatient or long-term care environment
