Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Clinic, University of Washington Medical Center – Montlake Heart Institute. Department Description The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center‑Montlake, located in Seattle, WA, offers a specialized Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Clinic that focuses on treating patients with weak hearts and end‑stage heart failure, using comprehensive care, including medical management, mechanical circulatory support (VADs), and heart transplantation. Systematically assesses the need for and the delivery of nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by other nursing staff. Formulates, coordinates and revises individualized plans of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluates each plan daily for effectiveness. Provides care for individual patients over the telephone using the nursing process. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Integrates patient and family education into the delivery of care, ensuring educational activities are culturally appropriate and tailored to the patient’s and family’s ability to comprehend and participate in care. Coordinates the care given by others to achieve efficient clinic operations. Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth and shares expertise with other team members. Requirements Active WA State or Multi‑state RN License by start date. Current BLS certification. At least 2 years of outpatient or inpatient Cardiology/Telecardiology experience. Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 per hour Pay Range Maximum: $83.64 per hour Other Compensation: $1 per hour BSN premium, Relocation available.
