Area Maintenance TechnicianJoin the Applejack by ABC team! The Area Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring our retail store locations are safe, fully operational, and well maintained for both team members and guests.This is a field-based position that combines hands-on technical work with proactive maintenance planning and close collaboration with store leadership.In this role, you will support three Applejack Wine & Spirits retail locations by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems. You will address immediate repair needs while also identifying preventive maintenance opportunities to support uninterrupted store operations.Location & ScheduleThis position operates from the Wheat Ridge location and supports three assigned retail store locations: Wheat Ridge, Thornton, and Colorado Springs.The Area Maintenance Technician maintains a regular on-site presence, including weekly visits to each location, with additional travel between sites as needed based on maintenance priorities.Schedule: Monday–Friday. This position also requires availability to respond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs, as part of the role.Essential Job Functions & Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular inspections of assigned store locations to assess facility conditions and system performanceMaintain and repair HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical and electrical issuesPerform minor electrical repairs, including replacement of outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ballasts, fuses, and cordsComplete minor plumbing repairs, including leak repair, faucet replacement, and drain maintenancePerform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry work as neededIdentify preventive maintenance needs and develop appropriate repair action plansCommunicate repair priorities, timelines, and status updates with store managers and leadershipDocument completed work and maintain accurate maintenance recordsOrder parts and maintain appropriate inventory levelsRespond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs as requiredMaintain company vehicle, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe conditionComply with all safety policies, procedures, and operational standardsAttend required meetings and training sessionsPerform additional duties as assignedPerks & BenefitsHourly pay $27/hourCompany vehicle providedRequired on-call availability for emergency repairs includes a four (4) hour minimum compensation per callCell phone stipendPaid vacationMedical, dental, and vision insurance (individual and family plans available)Employee discounts on wine and spiritsRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 4 years of facility maintenance experienceMinimum 5 years of HVAC experienceEPA certification requiredClean DMV driving record requiredWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systemsAbility to read and interpret safety regulations, operating manuals, and technical proceduresStrong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.Continuously (67%–100%):Standing and walkingMoving throughout multiple facility locationsFrequently (34%–66%):Kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and working at heightsLifting up to 50 lbs.Pushing up to 100 lbs.
