For a mid-level litigator, the most critical career inflection point is moving from the back room to the front lines. If you are currently drafting discovery requests without seeing how they play out at trial, or writing briefs for senior partners to argue, this is the platform to shift that trajectory. We are representing a premier Am Law national firm seeking a 4-to-6-year litigation associate to join their highly active Philadelphia commercial dispute resolution practice.

The Work

This role is designed for an attorney ready to transition from pure litigation support to active case management. The practice group defends and advocates for a sophisticated mix of local, national, and international clients across complex, high-stakes commercial disputes.

• Substantive Ownership: You will not just be researching discrete legal issues; you will be managing cases, defining discovery strategies, and drafting high-impact pleadings and appellate briefs.
• Courtroom Exposure: The firm regularly appears in local, state, and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. This position explicitly prioritizes developing your skills in oral advocacy and courtroom presentation.
• Diverse Docket: The workload spans complex breach of contract, corporate governance disputes, and multi-jurisdictional commercial conflicts, avoiding the narrow specialization that often stalls mid-level development.

Who This Is For

You are a 4-to-6-year litigation associate who has cut their teeth at a reputable regional or national firm, or through a rigorous judicial clerkship. You possess sharp attention to detail, exceptional writing mechanics, and strong academic credentials.

• The Funnel Hook: While a traditional law firm litigation background is excellent, this group highly values the unique insights gained from a federal or state appellate clerkship. If you recently finished a clerkship and possess a year or two of prior firm experience, your transition will be highly supported here.
• Bar Admission: You must hold an active Pennsylvania bar license or have the credentials necessary to waive in immediately.
