Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.

This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor II, Regional Human Resources Office (RHRO) – Southern, the incumbent is the first line supervisor, is responsible for expedited recruitment, and hiring of positions at assigned institutions, resolves/completes the most difficult Human Resources (HR) certification and hiring issues, assessment of examination needs and input into HQ Annual Exam Plan. Incumbent ensures CCHCS programs are provided with outstanding HR customer service. Incumbent monitors and reiterates confidentiality and security within the office. Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the full range of the more complex appointment and hiring issues, works closely with Selection Services and Workforce Development on examination needs, post examination Minimum Qualification audit and processing of applicant withholds. Incumbent is required to travel to assigned institutions. 

Travels statewide to attend recruiting initiatives and necessary hiring events representing CCHCS and interacting with potential future applicants. Assists with the coordination subject matter experts for conferences, local job fairs, and other recruitment events.
