Food Runner Job Summary

At Long Doggers Eateries Restaurant Group, our Food Runners are an essential part of creating an exceptional guest experience. As the connection between the kitchen and dining room, you'll ensure every meal is delivered quickly, accurately, and with a friendly attitude. This role requires energy, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset to help keep service running smoothly during every shift.

If you enjoy staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and supporting both guests and fellow team members, you'll thrive as a Food Runner. You'll play a key role in delivering great food, anticipating guest needs, and helping create the fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back.

What You'll Do

• Verify food orders for accuracy before delivering them to guests
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality presentation
• Safely lift and carry food trays weighing up to 30 pounds
• Develop a strong understanding of the menu to answer basic guest questions
• Assist servers by refilling beverages, clearing plates, and providing tableware, napkins, and condiments
• Help resolve guest concerns by communicating with servers and managers when needed
• Clean, reset, and prepare tables for incoming guests
• Support fellow team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room according to company standards

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and help wherever needed
• Restaurant experience is a plus but not requiredwe're happy to train the right candidate!

Physical Requirements

• Safely lift and carry food trays weighing up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-hour shifts
• Ability to move throughout the restaurant efficiently during busy service periods
