Work to resolve items within the standard response window.* Work with Payroll Specialist to process bi-weekly payroll, including imports from time-entry system. Manage and perform all phases of the payroll process (timesheet import, leave time tracking, any and all payroll adjustments, etc.) prior to transmitting payroll to a third-party processor.* Maintain Payroll Items, ensuring accurate limits are tracked annually.* Generate a variety of payroll reports to include monthly, quarterly, year-end reporting, and ad hoc reporting for internal/external customers.* Verify that all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll reports, processed by payroll provider are accurate.* Run payroll audit reports for batches. Audit Payroll Specialist II and be audited by Payroll Specialist II to ensure accuracy.* Assist in monitoring electronic timesheets, communicates with department supervisors about missed timesheets and/or corrections required.* Assist greater Accounting team to reconcile payroll costs to project costs .* Partner with benefits/wellness specialist to ensure the accurate and timely processing of benefit deduction adjustments.* Provide service to all employees regarding concerns with payroll and benefits, research and troubleshoot inquires.* Collaborate with Accounting and Human Resources teams to reconcile payroll and general ledger.* Provide timesheet entry training and guidance to new and existing employees.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with Federal, State and Local payroll regulations and taxation, including those related to employee benefits.* Assist with all Federal, State and Local agency questions and inquiries as needed. Works with HR if a new agency is needed to be contacted and set up within Payroll System.* Take lead on Payroll’s various audits (Year-End, ACA, Workers Compensation, 403(b), and Labor )* Collaborate with Business Operations team by leveraging system capability to meet internal company needs, if system cannot provide, looks internally at operating processes to assist with request.* Partner with Payroll Specialist II to build and maintain enterprise solutions for Payroll and Accounting.* Use extensive knowledge in current systems to leverage development and growth as needed by CCSI.* Perform other duties as assigned.* )* Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus* PHR (Professional in Human Resources) a plus.* Intermediate-level Excel skills – ability create spreadsheets, merge reports, manipulate data, filter and sort data, perform v-look ups, etc.* Must have a solid understanding of the technical and full-functionality of HRMS/Payroll systems; experience with NetSuite is highly desired (ADP Workforce Now, Paychex Flex, Ceridian Dayforce, UltiPro, Paylocity or other integrated HRMS/Payroll systems experience is acceptable).* Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.* Must possess strong, customer-focused communication skills and able to communicate (both orally and written) in a clear, kind, professional manner.* Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner. Knows when and how to seek appropriate resources (both internal and external) for assistance.* Able to perform multifaceted day-to-day activities and prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.* Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.* Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.* Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality and excellent organization skills.* Demonstrated ability to successfully participate on teams that work toward strategic direction.* Excellent analytical skills and good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.* Respect the confidential nature of all CCSI and CCSI customer information you are exposed to in the course of your work performance.
