About the Position

Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts; minimum every other weekend required; contract must extend through January 2, 2027

Highlights:

• Float to multiple ICUs based on staffing needs including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics units
• Work with diverse patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
• EPIC charting system utilized across all units
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity based on clinical assignment
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Advanced critical care experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex cardiac cases

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
