Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Urban Design & Streetscape Project Manager to help shape vibrant, people-focused communities by delivering transportation and streetscape projects that improve mobility, connectivity, and quality of life. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from concept through construction, delivering innovative streetscapes, downtown revitalization initiatives, complete streets, parks, greenways, and community development projects that enhance mobility, connectivity, and quality of life.

• Manage urban design and landscape architecture projects from planning and conceptual design through construction administration.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of public realm, streetscape, transportation enhancement, parks, greenway, campus, and community development projects.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and client expectations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with AECOM's quality standards.
• Coordinate internal resources and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Management

• Work with municipal, county, and private-sector clients.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and technical excellence.
• Participate in project interviews, presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
• Support business development efforts and contribute to proposal preparation and strategic pursuits.

Design Leadership

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of streetscape and Complete Streets projects, downtown revitalization efforts, urban design frameworks and master plans, parks and open spaces, greenways and trail networks, transit-oriented development (TOD) initiatives, public plazas and civic spaces, and mixed-use community development projects.
• Facilitate design charrettes, workshops, and collaborative planning efforts.
• Ensure projects balance design excellence, functionality, sustainability, and community goals.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning or a related field plus six years of experience in urban design projects or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
• Three years of project management experience leading multidisciplinary projects.
• Professional Engineer License, PLA, or AICP certifications or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience managing client relationships, project budgets, and project schedules.

Preferred:

• Master's degree 
• Experience with municipal streetscape, downtown revitalization, and transportation-related public realm projects.
• Experience with grant-funded or federally funded projects.
• Knowledge of Complete Streets, placemaking, green infrastructure, and sustainable design principles.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and visualization software.
• Established relationships with municipalities, public agencies, and community organizations throughout the Southeast.
• Demonstrated experience with strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
