divh2Rheumatologist/h2pThe Rheumatologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases affecting the joints, muscles, bones, and connective tissues. This role emphasizes long-term disease management, evidence-based treatment, and multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliEvaluate and manage patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and degenerative rheumatic diseases/liliDiagnose and treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, spondyloarthropathies, vasculitis, gout, and osteoporosis/liliDevelop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans/liliManage chronic disease progression and medication therapy, including biologics and immunomodulators/liliPerform office-based procedures within scope of practice, such as joint aspirations and injections/liliInterpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic testing/liliProvide outpatient clinic care and inpatient consultative services as applicable/liliCollaborate with primary care providers and specialty services/liliEducate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-management strategies/liliMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record/liliParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education initiatives/li/ulh3Practice Setting/h3ulliOutpatient rheumatology clinic/liliHospital-based inpatient consult coverage as required/liliSchedule and call responsibilities based on practice model/li/ulh3Patient Population/h3ulliAdult patients with acute and chronic rheumatologic conditions/liliLongitudinal disease management and follow-up care/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliMD or DO from an accredited medical school/liliCompletion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Pediatrics residency/liliCompletion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship/liliBoard certified or board eligible in Rheumatology/liliEligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state/liliDEA registration or eligibility/li/ulh3Skills Competencies/h3ulliExpertise in autoimmune and inflammatory disease management/liliStrong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills/liliExcellent communication and patient education abilities/liliCommitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care/liliAbility to manage complex, chronic conditions in an outpatient setting/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliRheumatology clinic and consultative hospital settings/liliMultidisciplinary, team-based care model/liliEmphasis on continuity of care and long-term patient relationships/li/ul/div
