CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

CNC Machinist 1Plan and perform various CNC turning and milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts under the supervisor.Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machinesWork from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specificationsSetup, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operationsAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesCheck parts to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooledMeasure, examine, and test completed units to defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometersClean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matterMaintain records and document in-process inspection dataMust be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related dataHigh School Degree or G.E.D1+ years of experience as a CNC MachinistPrecision Manufacturing Certificate preferredMust be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional levelAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructionsAbility to setup and operate CNC turning and milling machinesAbility to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerancesKnowledge of G & M codesAbility to travel domestically – 10% maxPhysical capability is evaluated through a post-offer, pre-employment Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), which assesses an individual's ability to perform the essential functions of the job safely and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with applicable laws.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.Hanwha Aerospace USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
